I think it is a valid point that the bible can become an idol.

I think it is pretty reliable though, and pretty accurate. There are a few places where the greek is not clear, but there are only a few. when you consider how many words there are.

I have studied greek for about 40 years and have translated all of john and about half of paul myself.

I dont see any serious problems that would contradict any core teaching of the scriptures.

You can trace the history of translation of every single word from the oldest texts to now, as well as all the variants when they exist.

a lot of things "could" be taken a certain way, but i always use ocam's razor whenever possible. :)
