I love this article. Its so true.

I was a journalist for 30 years. I wrote what they told me to write about - what to cover, and what readers wanted to read about. Im not complaining, but it was always about them, or about the story.

Now I am retired.

I write what the heck I want to write, and it is for me. Most of the time I dont care if it gets readers or not. Sometimes I like to write about obscure stuff that not many people are going to be interested in. I still do it.

My medium writing is for me. I think you described it very well. I had not thought to put it quiet like that. :)
