Ironically enough, I was trying to talk about communication. THat i didn’t do that as well as i could have, is a case in point.

I know everything you say is true, and I've experienced it too. I think it is important to consider how the message is received. If you read MLK, it was fairly rare that he said “white people …” … he talked about the injustice, about what white people were doing that was bad.. but he didnt use that phrase as a blanket accusation. Consider the world he was in, racism was normal, expected .. good even. I think King could have used it and would have been more accurate in the 60s than it is now.

We have made some progress. More needs to be made. Im just advocating more consideration going into word choice … targeting the audience maybe? :)
