Thats some in depth stuff there. People do see things differently, and they do often use verses that support what they think as opposed to letting the verses influence what they think

Is it really and different for a christian to get drunk on the weekend, than a christian laying on the sofa eating pizza all weekend and being 50 pounds overweight?

There is also legalism, which i really dont like .. im legalistic in my opposition to legalism :) :)

people use that dont be a stumbling block thing to make up a lot of rules that are just not in the bible.
