We "are" the church. I think this needs to be talked about more. There are a lot of definitions of church beyond the typical sermon of three points, a few songs, and a building.

If you get together with some friends and maybe pray together, talk about spiritual things and so forth, ... that is going to church. :)

Maybe it is redefining itself.
